🚫 FACT CHECK: This Tweet Contains Misinformation

Claim: KARACHI’S WATER MAFIA — WHO IS REALLY PROFITING? MQM leader Mustafa Kamal says Karachi’s citizens are being robbed by Sindh Government of their most basic necessity: water. He alleges that water meant for the public is diverted and then sold back to desperate Karachiites through tankers for Rs8,000–12,000 each, generating billions of rupees. But this raises an even bigger question: What exactly are the Sindh Rangers doing in Karachi? They were deployed in the name of law and order — so what role, if any, do Rangers personnel or officials have in Karachi’s hydrants and the lucrative tanker-water business? Who controls these hydrants? Who gets paid? Where does the money go? And who protects a system that allegedly forces Karachiites to buy back their own water at extortionate prices? These are serious questions that demand serious answers. I am investigating allegations concerning the water-hydrant business and the role of powerful institutions and individuals. A major investigative report is coming — backed by evidence. The current DG Rangers Sindh is Major General Muhammad Shamraiz Khan, Corps of Artillery, 90th PMA Long Course, previously GOC 17 Infantry Division, Kharian is allegedly involved in this racket. Karachi deserves to know: who is making money from its water — and under whose protection? BREAKING INVESTIGATION COMING SOON.
